Hinge

#Productdesign #CAD #Prototype

Within this project, I focussed on different types of work environments, particularly on the growing field of modern co-working-spaces. Those spaces often approach a more flexible interior, to ensure their Co-Workers can optimally perform in their individual ways. »Hinge« is therefore created with the main design aspects of mobility, multiple use and adjustment possibilities.

»Hinge« is a mobile and multi-use desk lamp, designed to fit perfectly into any work space.

Mobility: »Hinge« is built with an intern battery, which can be charged through a loading station. A small LED light will show the battery status. Therefore it is possible to take »Hinge« wherever you want to and wherever you need it.

Types of use: One important aspect of »Hinge« is, that the user can choose between a direct light position and a more ambient light position, by simply flipping the top to the other side.

Adjustment: The touchscreen allows brightness adjustments at any time and will turn off when not in use. The small LED light will light up in red when the battery is running low and in green, when the battery is fully charged on the loading station.
