loopy type

Fontdesign · Typography · Glyphs

loopy type is my first independently designed typeface. Playful and informal in character, it reflects an experimental, hands-on approach to type design while nodding to the expressive qualities of handwriting and calligraphy.

Starting from a wide range of analog sketches with various pens, markers and brushes, the letterforms were gradually digitized and refined — resulting in a lighthearted yet cohesive lowercase typeface.
